Ebooks and eTexts

Ebook Production

I’ve produced for various purposes at different times. Click through for more information on each:

Widsith: A Study in Old English Heroic Legend
Extra Readings for Literary Copernicus

Project Gutenberg & Distributed Proofreaders

From about 2002-2008, I was heavily involved in public text preservation efforts with Project Gutenberg and the Distributed Proofreaders (username “caw”). Below are a few I’m particularly proud to have worked on.

Illustrated History Of Furniture: From the Earliest to the Present Time, by Frederick Litchfield
Considerations on Representative Government by John Stuart Mill (Project Gutenberg)
Œvres Complètes de Frédéric Bastiat

A full list of the books I was involved in is available on this blog post.

Plucker Books

Before smartphones, “personal data assistants” (PDAs) like PalmPilot allowed people to download and read ebooks. Plucker was an open source reading app for PalmOS, and from about about 2001–2010, I co-owned a website that published free ebooks on Plucker. We produced close to 800 ebooks in Plucker format – a significant feat long before Kindle, iBooks, and other modern ebook vendors came along – and eventually sold the domain in 2010.

Podcasts & Panels

Mythgard Movie Club

From 2017-2019, I organized and hosted 16 panel discussions on various science fiction and fantasy films with the Mythgard Movie Club. Sessions were recorded and available on YouTube

Predestination (2014)

Kat & Curt’s TV Re-View

From May 2013 – February 2019, I co-hosted Kat & Curt’s TV Re-view, a podcast analyzing science fiction and fantasy television series on an episode-by-episode basis. All episodes are available on the usual podcasting platforms and via kctvreview.wordpress.com.
